Our Highlights in July
New Start Children and Nanny
There are 33 little ones in New Start – the Ripples International home for abandoned babies. Some were left on hospital steps, some in ditches, and even one in a garbage can. They were taken to the Child Welfare Department in Meru, Kenya – and then to Ripples, which is an adoption agency. They all need a family to love and care for them.

Johnstone's Family
We spent 23 days on the road in Kenya with Johnstone Kirimi, our safari driver. First in Nairobi, then to Kitali, Rondo in Kakamega Forest and Nambale. Then Nairobi again, then to Voi – and back to Nairobi and then to Nyeri – all before we settled for a couple of weeks in Meru.

John at the Peponi Hotel
During our last week in Kenya, we spent a couple of R & R days on Lamu. We stayed at Peponi which means Paradise, in Shela, next to the ocean and miles of sandy beach. It was so peaceful – just listening to the lapping water and seeing the full moon glistening on the water. Click here to see more.
