 
One hundred and eighty ladies attended a Lenten Luncheon at the Darien Country Club. This was first time since
before Covid that

had organized this gathering of women from all the churches in Darien, CT.

On March 13 John introduced Erin Harlow Parker to the Darien Men's Association where she gave a very well received,
on-line presentation on suicide awareness and prevention. Erin, a Board Certified Psyciatric Mental Health Nurse Practicioner,
is the widow of John's nephew Jeff who took his life by suicide in January 2022. Since that time Erin and her two daughters
have advocated for suicide awareness and prevention. Here is a

The largest group ever, mostly men from the Darien Men’s Association and some wives, hiked around Sherwood Island. It was a
beautiful day. Everyone stopped at the Memorial to remember all those in Connecticut who died in the World Trade Centre on 9/11.

We celebrated Easter with friends from West Haven, one of whom is from Ghana, and two who recently came here from Kenya. And our
Easter dinner included some traditional festive dishes, as well as ham and pineapple slices, sweet potatoes and lemon pie, which
John had baked.
